Balkan Festival of Folk Songs and Dances is international folk festival organized by the National Institution Center of Culture "Grigor Prlicev"-Ohrid, the oldest folk festival in the Balkans that affirm cultural dignity of peoples.

Traditionally the festival held in early July, ie from 06 to 11 July.

Program benefits and the quality presentation of folkloric material and it may be open scene for interaction between cultures of the nations contributing the festival to be included in the catalog of UNESCO Folklore most significant events in the world.

The festival also includes exhibitions have always been close to the orientation of the festival.

In the past 49 years the Balkan Festival, it presented around 50,000 singers, dancers and musicians from Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Turkey, Cyprus, and from France, Spain, Holland, Germany, Russia, Moldova, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Great Britain, Australia, USA, Canada, Mexico, Malaysia, Costa Rica, Nigeria and others.
